Two Utica Community Schools students are among a select number of high schoolers who have had works selected for a prestigious national photography exhibit.

Henry Ford II seniors Margret Dobry and Savannah Salisbury were among only 267 of the nation’s top student artists to have photography accepted for the national Drexel Art competition.

"Margret and Savannah are two of the most hard working and creative AP photography students I have had the pleasure of teaching," said Henry Ford II Photography teacher Dr. Lisa Grunewald. "Seeing their photographs being honored and displayed on a national level makes me beyond proud of these two young ladies. I know they will do amazing things after their high school career at Utica Community Schools."

Dobry's piece was titled  Mammoth Hot Springs and Salisbury called her piece Curiousity

More than 2100 photographs were submitted for the 20th annual competition, sponsored by Drexel Photography.
