Student signing college poster sheetHenry Ford II High School senior Chloe Veenstra is looking forward to the next chapter of her life.

“I’m excited about college,” said Veenstra, who plans to study forensics science at Michigan State University or Central Michigan University.  “It’s going to be a new beginning for me.”

Veenstra and her Falcon classmates are a step closer to that experience after taking part in the College Week sponsored by her school. The week supports the school’s goal that all seniors apply to a college by end of the month.

Activities included talking to teachers about college options, wearing college apparel, decorating classroom doors and signing college posters in the commons.

For senior Brenna Lynch, her interest in college and a business degree took root in the classes offered at Henry Ford II.

“I love the field of business – I love numbers,” she said.

She plans to study financial management at either Northwood University or Grand Valley State University.
