The day she signed her commitment letter to play volleyball
at Indiana Tech University, Jenna Gibson had words of appreciation for those
who helped create “an amazing feeling.”
“I have been challenged to do my best at all times,” she
said. “I take school very seriously, and my teachers have always been there for
me and accepting of a very busy schedule.”
Gibson was one of several athletes across the district who took
part in signing ceremonies that recognize their commitment to play sports at
the college level.
Like Gibson, Henry Ford II football standout said he
appreciated the support that paved the way to play at Sienna Heights
University.
“It feels great going to college and playing at the next
level,” he said.
Henry Ford II had a single signing ceremony for its nearly
20 athletes continuing their athletic careers. Families and coaches gathered together
to recognize the senior athlete’s accomplishment.
